So PrEP, that's a Preexposure Prophylaxis. It is an anti-retroviral medication that is for HIV negative people. It's a topic we don't talk about as a society but it is something that we actually really need to openly talk about. It is very effective it significantly reduces HIV by 99% through sex and 74% through drug injection. So young people need to consider a few things before they take PrEP. It's like a self-risk assessment that you need to do for yourself. So number one are you sexually active? That's one thing you need to ask yourself. Do you have multiple sexual partners within the last 3 months? Also have you experienced any violence, whether physical or sexual? Have you ever injected drugs? That's even a very hard question to ask yourself as a young person. And also, in the past few months how many times have you taken PEP? PEP is the post-exposure prophylaxis because if you find yourself every month you're coming to take PEP, that should actually raise some alarm.
